Proverbs Collection 2: The Danger of Quick Anger

The Story

Proverbs 14:17 Short-tempered people do foolish things, and schemers are hated. Proverbs 22:24–25 Don't befriend angry people or associate with hot-tempered people, or you will learn to be like them and endanger your soul. Proverbs 29:22 An angry person starts fights; a hot-tempered person commits all kinds of sin.

The Message

The company we keep and the anger habits we allow to take root in our hearts have far-reaching consequences — not just on our relationships, but on our very character and spiritual wellbeing. Quick anger is a small spark that Scripture warns can set an entire life ablaze with foolishness and sin, making it not just a temperament issue but a matter that deserves our serious prayer, self-examination, and ongoing surrender to the Holy Spirit's transforming work.
