Privacy Policy
Effective date: April 17, 2025
1. Who We Are
Let's Bible Up ("we," "our," or "us") is a community application for prayer and Bible study, operated by an individual based in Washington State. If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, you may contact us at wawrate@gmail.com.
2. Information We Collect
When you create an account, we collect:
- Your email address (used only for authentication)
- A username of your choosing
- A password (stored securely and never readable by us)
When you use the app, we also store the content you choose to share — such as prayer requests, prayer responses, and Bible study progress. This content is tied to your account internally but is never displayed alongside your name or email to other users.
3. Anonymity Among Members
Your identity is protected within this community. Your name, email address, and any personally identifiable information are never visible to other users of the application. When you post a prayer or respond to one, other members only see the content of what you choose to share — never who you are. All members are kept anonymous from one another by design. This is a core principle of Let's Bible Up.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect solely to:
- Operate and maintain your account
- Deliver prayer requests and responses within the community
- Track your Bible study progress (visible only to you)
- Prevent abuse and enforce our Terms of Service
5. We Do Not Share Your Data
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with any third party, advertiser, or external organization — ever. Your data exists solely to make this application work for you. The only third-party services involved are our infrastructure providers (Supabase for our database and authentication, and Vercel for hosting), both of which operate under their own privacy policies and are used only to keep this application running.
6. Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you wish to have your account and associated data removed, please contact us at wawrate@gmail.com and we will process your request promptly.
7. Children's Privacy
This application is intended for users 13 years of age and older. Users between the ages of 13 and 17 should have parental or guardian permission before creating an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at wawrate@gmail.com.
8. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. Passwords are never stored in plain text. Authentication is handled through Supabase, which uses industry-standard security practices. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Rights (Washington State)
As a resident of Washington State or elsewhere, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal data we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at wawrate@gmail.com.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the application after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
