Terms of Service
Effective date: April 17, 2025
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Let's Bible Up ("the app," "we," "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the application. These terms apply to all users of the app, including those who browse Bible studies without an account.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Users between the ages of 13 and 17 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet these requirements.
3. Purpose of the App
Let's Bible Up is a faith-based community application designed for prayer sharing and Bible study. It is not a church, ministry, or counseling service. Content on this platform reflects the personal expressions of individual users and should not be taken as official theological instruction or professional advice of any kind.
4. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Keeping your login credentials secure
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Providing accurate information at sign-up
You may not share your account with others or create accounts for the purpose of abusing or circumventing these terms.
5. Community Standards
This is a faith community rooted in Christian values. All users are expected to engage with honesty, respect, and compassion. The following content is strictly prohibited:
- Hate speech, harassment, or threatening language toward any person or group
- Content that is sexually explicit or inappropriate
- Spam, advertisements, or solicitations of any kind
- Content intended to deceive, manipulate, or exploit other users
- Content contrary to the core tenets of the Christian faith posted in bad faith
We reserve the right to remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these standards, at our sole discretion.
6. Anonymity and Member Privacy
All members are kept anonymous from one another. You agree not to attempt to identify, expose, or share the identity of any other user of this platform. Attempting to de-anonymize other users is a violation of these terms and may result in immediate account termination.
7. Content You Share
You retain ownership of any prayer requests, responses, or other content you submit. By submitting content, you grant us a limited license to store and display it within the application for the purpose of operating the service. We do not claim ownership of your content and will never use it for commercial purposes.
8. Bible Study Content
The Bible study content on this platform is hand-curated and intended as a companion to Scripture — not a replacement for reading the Bible itself. We make no claim that our summaries or study materials are exhaustive or theologically authoritative. We encourage all users to read the Bible directly and seek guidance from their local church community.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
Let's Bible Up is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the application will be available at all times, error-free, or free from interruptions. We are not responsible for any loss of data or harm arising from your use of the application.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Let's Bible Up and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the application. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you have paid us, which in most cases is zero.
11. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the application after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
