Psalms Anger Collection 1: Releasing Anger to God

The Story

Psalm 37:8 Stop being angry! Turn from your rage! Do not lose yourself in worry — it only leads to harm. Psalm 4:4 Don't sin by letting anger control you. Think about it overnight and remain silent. Psalm 55:22 Give your burdens to the Lord, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.

The Message

God never intended for us to wrestle with our anger, pain, and burdens in isolation — He invites us to bring all of it to Him, trusting that His shoulders are strong enough to carry what ours were never built to bear. The pathway through anger that the Psalms offer is not white-knuckled self-control alone, but a surrendered and prayerful release to a God who sees, cares, and promises to take care of those who trust Him.
